Frenchman Romain Grosjean will race for Renault from this weekend’s European Grand Prix in Valencia. Grosjean replaces Brazilian Nelson Piquet, who failed to score a point in the first 10 races of the season, alongside Spaniard Fernando Alonso.

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009Spain’s Fernando Alonso and the Renault Formula One cleared to compete in this weekend’s European Grand Prix in Valencia after winning an appeal against a one-race ban. FIA say in a statement that the suspension had been replaced by a reprimand and fine of $50,000.
